Okay so I’m a writer and I love my job, I’m so happy with it and I’m glad I can eventually support my whole life and future, however before I started my blog and writing my books I did (and still do) have my dream job and It isn’t writing.
Since I was a little girl I’ve always loved learning about the law and what power people held when they ran into the law and that sparked my interest to the whole career I now want as an adult, my first ever dream job was SOCO, which here in the UK is the equivalent to Americas CSI unit, I dreamt of this job right up until I was 16 years old and to be honest if I got offer that job now I’d probably still take it.
I’m so fascinated with crime and how criminals do what they do for different reasons, or even no reason at all. I was completely in awe of these amazing people following clues to catch criminals like modern day detectives it gave me a thrill that nothing else could and even though I had other passion they burnt out quickly unlike my passion for science and the minds behind the criminals.
Coming forward a few years I thought I’d take a look into criminal profiling however something didn’t sit right with me, I wasn’t happy with the fact that I’d have to go out and find out what was going on in the criminals minds, although this is a very interesting subject to me Id rather go and see the criminals myself and talk to them really get to know that and see how their brain works.
Me I want to be a prison counsellor, I’d love to take to murderers and serial killers, people dealing with psychosis, full blown sociopaths, this is what really interests me and I’d love to work with them all just to know what’s really going on inside the mind of a killer.
A little bit shocking I know but it goes deeper than that there’s one other thing I’d jump to do other than being a psychologist and that’s to be a pathologist, my back up dream job is to see how people died! Morbid to some but fascinating to me, knowing that some of the people that land on my table are so brave and heroic that they donated there body to science, just amazes me, but I’d also again to love to work with the criminal side of things, I’d love to help people catch criminals through the bodies of there victims, I think its interesting and a very important job.
