You know when you just started out you’re blog journey and you didn’t know what the hell you where doing, yeah? well up until recently that was me. I knew I needed to put a face to my blog I just didn’t know how to take the pictures I needed to get the job done I have a fairly good camera (canon powershot SX410 SI) and mediocre photography skills, but I couldn’t be both in front of my camera and behind it at the same time?
About 2 weeks ago I started up my own support Facebook group and I was so happy with how its building, but I needed to know how it was going to bring me traffic to my blog and gain exposure on social media, I had an idea, I decided to build up my group providing free materials on how to make other bloggers and business women grow in their field! so I had my group and my content for my group but I still wasn’t gaining enough exposure to my blog! so my page was next I already had a Facebook page but it was full of things that wasn’t related to my blog so I’ve don’t a whole new Facebook makeover on my page and you know what happened! I went up by 100 page likes! in a week! amaziinnng! I’m so happy and proud, Never did i think i’d be any influence to anybody! but here I am!
My next goal was to sort out the rest of my social media sites and honestly I have A LOT, to list them I have: Facebook (a page and a group) Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Bloglovin, discord, YouTube, Twitch, and LinkedIn and yes hopefully at some point this year I will be using all of them, I want to make the most of out all my plat forms, But first I’ll be tackling twitter and Instagram which means Pictures.
Like I’ve said before I have an okay camera and okay skills I just needed to be in two places at once, or buy a new camera with a wireless remote, which, sadly, I don’t have the money for, However I did find a solution to my problems, I think, so far I’ve only tested this theory out in my room but so far so good!
I have bought myself a really cute yet cheap tripod ( I got mine from amazon) and it comes with a spirit level too, something my more “professional” doesn’t have, Typical. I’ve also got myself so good lighting, I already had this from some photography equipment I had lying around. and honestly I set myself a timer and a 10 shot capture, I didn’t even know I could customize my own god damn camera!! what an idiot! I’ve had my camera for about 2 maybe 3 years and only just seen this feature! So to test my camera and idea for self shots, I will be taking my camera to the three most beautiful places near me and getting over my fear of being in front of the lens and hopefully this will help build up my Instagram and other social platforms!
So far sorting out my social sites I have a combined total of approximately 250 followers! in less that a week! I’m hoping to increase that massively within the next month or two so why not give me a like and show me some love! It proves all you need is to get tech savvy and have a social clean up!
